questions from week 6

AS OF WEEK 6 WE WERE SUPPOSE TO ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS/
As a group, I expect you to answer these questions next week:

- What is the mission or general philosophy of this site?
The mission of this site was to actually have a website or community where web designers can actually come to and rely on a network where it is just for them. Alumnus can come through  or current web designers and leave tutorials which will help people who are barely just getting into the web design field. It is a site where people can actually rely on when they don't have anyone to contact or a teacher to email and where they can find answers as well.

- Describe its primary goals, services or products.
Its services are the same like i said above; its tutorials. Tutorials are very helpful for students who are stuck on a project and doesn't seem like they will get out of it, but the SWAP website will help them through. The services are ran from the officers of the SWAP club and which will keep the site updated and maybe alumnus as well can put their two cents in.

- Is there a tag line or slogan that was incorporated within the general theme?
We don't have a slogan, but dont think we really need one. I feel our message will get across even without one. The site will speak for itself in my opinion. we were slow from the start but put it in gear and its like they say; its not how you start, but on how you finish. I feel we've accomplished that.

I remember that week, what i did was actually just do the graphics and such, finalizing the logo, and actually helped a little bit with the mockups.

..

I knew I just posted something, but i forgot to put the things that i did learn and the experience i did get from this. I learned TOO MUCH which was the positive thing about this. I never knew on the process web designers would do to start on making a website! starting off with mockups and such. the style guide, i Can go on and on about all this and i knew it will stick with me because i've started doing all these things with the site i am creating. It feels right on doing these things because it is so organized!  Just on having the personas as well shows onw hat the site is intended for as well. helps you out personality wise and helps u keep on track on what you are creating! we went through the struggles through this site, but I know for a FACT we all got something out of this, no matter on what level you are in web design skill wise.

...

I know i am far behind in my blogging which isn't quite a surprise but isn't good at the same time; today is our final day in class and at the same time is our presentation for our final project. As the art director, I will have to cover a few things such as the color scheme, typography, logo, and the various graphics of each page. Hopefully all will be good at the end, but I believe we will do a great job with the group that we do have. Through the ups and downs of this group, we did manage to get this far and I wouldn't change this group in my opinion even if i could. we all learned a lot from each other and that is something we can use in a positive way. I was the art director but managed to learn on how to draw up mockups and also do a little bit of technical work which wasn't even in my position, but just shadowing people helped out a lot! Team SWAP did manage to get through and we put our gear up and went in hard for the last couple of weeks, hopefully it was enough to impress the target audience.

blogging

Blogging has been forgotten and is something I should have been doing this whole time. Through this quarter, I've learned many new things which will benefit me in becoming a successful web designer. I even caught things that weren't my position, but will be very useful on how to start a site and such. This whole quarter I have taken the role of being the art director and to be honest I knew I was going to feel lost in being so. It sort of scared me, but not enough to give up on the position so with the help of great group members, I got the hang of it and did the things i was asked to do. First was to come up with the typography and we switched back and fourth with it to see which one we would all agree upon. Caecilia was the first one we switched but went towards podkova later on. will keep blogging on as soon as possible. The style guide is still in progress but is very close to finalizing.
